Many of the paintings and drawings I produce are commissioned, often as a gift for a loved one or to commemorate a special occasion like a wedding, a retirement, an anniversary or a birthday. It is also quite common for people to commission paintings for themselves. Previous commissions have included vintage toys, favourite toy figure or even the happy couple on their wedding day. Please click the button at the bottom of this page for a few examples of my previous commissions.

The commissioning process begins with an e-mail or phone call. Once the conversation begins, we can talk about your painting in more detail. If it is a toy painting you require and you have the original toy, Funko pop or a vintage toy, then a photograph is always helpful. A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure the booking. I always produce a small pen and ink sketch to show my idea on composition and we take it from there.

Time scale will depend on the size of your painting and the amount of detail involved. Please allow up to 8 weeks for completion once the painting has been started, possibly more depending on the time of the year. I am always busier on the run up to Christmas. Small pieces may only take up to 3-4 weeks. On completion, I will e-mail you an image of the finished painting for your final approval. The outstanding balance is then due.

All completed work will be sent using registered postage or couriered, which ever you prefer. Please be aware that the shipping cost, and insurance, is in addition to the cost of the commission itself. I will be able to provide an indication of the cost of the shipping/insurance before any work gets started.
